#028. My 12 Favorite Problems (October 2022 Ed.)
aka "What's on my mind when nothing is on my mind"
Last year, I joined an online course called Building a Second Brain to learn how to manage, organize, and leverage the digital information that was overrunning my life. Our first assignment was to create a list of our 12 Favorite Problems.
Creating these questions has helped me sift through our noisy world and is one of the best things that I’ve ever done for my mental health. “What’s really important to pay attention to?” These questions are constraints, and intentional parameters to help focus our attention.
Now, revisiting my 12 Favorite Problems is one of the most fun things I get to do a few times a year. I like to see if any questions have been answered, evolved, or are no longer relevant.
Here’s my list from earlier this year.

How do I use my 500 year vision for humanity to inspire people now?
What would my life look like in order to build a 7 figure business? Who would I need to be?
What would it be like to be a fully "turned-on" woman? What would it be like to lean into pleasure and desire instead of reason and sensibility as a compass for life?
Why do I still call him, "God"?
How do I get better and faster at identifying my blind spots through the mirroring of others?
How can I continue to deepen an embodied spiritual connection - aka the middle path?
What are the universal principles of health and vitality for individuals? How can I apply this to my life to have a consistent flow of energy and focus?
Where's the balance between keeping myself entertained and doing the hard thing?
How do I make lifelong partnership work for me?
How can learning about ADHD help us understand how humanity is evolving?
What's the most important thing right now?
Death is imminent, how do I go out with a bang knowing that I'm 36 now and have about another 50 years?
Do any of these pop out to you? I’d love to know which.
Now it’s your turn, what are some of your 12 Favorite Problems? If you need some inspiration, check out this guide by Tiago Forte .
I've been thinking a lot along the lines of your #12. Except for me the numbers are stacked the other way around. I'm 50 and MAYBE I'll have 36 years. I've enjoyed the book 4000 weeks. Have you read it? The second title is: Time Management for Mortals.
